TDF is one kind of final products recycled from waste tires, its full name is Tire Derived Fuel or tire derived shreds (TDS) that offers a viable solution to the disposal of scrap tires, converting them into energy-rich fuel while reducing the environmental impact associated with tire waste, and not only reduces the reliance on fossil fuels but also contributes to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. Usually the size of TDF is between 30~150mm. If making it get smaller size 50~60 mm, it will have another name, tire derived aggregates (TDA), which can be used in civil engineering projects as filling material.
The tire derived fuel can be made by tire shredders, or semi-automatic tire cutting machines. So TDF line is consisted by tire shredders or tire cutting machines. The tire shredder can produce tire chips with any size between 50~150 mm as needed. The shredder is suitable for processing car tires, truck tires or even OTR tires. Since the size is still big, so it often contains steel wires inside, even thought, the tire derived fuel is considered as an excellent burning fuel to replace the coals in many application scenarios, due to its high heating energy than coals, and it produces less NOx during burning.
EcoShred is actively involved in development of advanced technologies for efficient tire shredding and processing. Innovations in tire recycling equipment and processes can improve the quality and consistency of TDF, making it more readily acceptable and cost-effective for end-users.
